10. Marketplace & Partner Data (Marketplace Sellers)
Album Butterfly operates a Partner Marketplace where verified photographers, studios, and designers can list physical products (lights, props, backdrops, prints) and digital PSD templates for sale. If you register as a partner seller, the following applies in addition to the sections above.
10.1 Partner Data We Collect
- Identity & Contact: Full name, phone number, email address, business/shop name, pickup address, portfolio link
- Payout Details: UPI ID, bank account number, IFSC code, bank name (used only to transfer your earnings)
- Tax Information: GSTIN (if applicable), PAN reference for TDS compliance
- KYC Documents: Any verification documents uploaded during onboarding (Aadhaar masked copy, PAN copy, business proof)
- Product Catalogue: Product images, descriptions, pricing, inventory, weight and dimensions, return policy preferences
10.2 How Partner Data Is Used
- To verify the partner's identity and approve them for listing products
- To process customer orders, trigger pickups and pay out earnings after the 15-day hold period
- To comply with tax laws (GST invoices, TDS returns) and marketplace regulations
- To prevent fraud, investigate disputes and enforce our Terms
10.3 Marketplace Customer Shipping Data
When you purchase a physical product on our marketplace, we collect and process:
- Shipping Address: Name, phone, address lines, city, state, PIN code, country
- Delivery Preferences: Gate code, landmark or special instructions you add at checkout
This data is shared only with the partner who is fulfilling your order and with our logistics courier (ShipRocket) strictly for delivery. It is never used for marketing and is never sold to third parties.
10.4 Data Sharing with ShipRocket & Couriers
We partner with ShipRocket to print labels, book pickups and track parcels. ShipRocket and the assigned courier partner (Delhivery, XpressBees, Ecom Express, Bluedart, etc.) receive your full delivery address and phone number as required to physically deliver your order. These providers operate under their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to use the information only for fulfilment.
10.5 Data Retention for Physical Orders
- Shipping addresses & order history: retained for 2 years after delivery to satisfy Indian tax/GST record-keeping requirements
- Partner payout records and invoices: retained for 7 years as required by Indian accounting law
- Dispute evidence photos: retained for 2 years after resolution for audit purposes
- KYC documents: retained for the lifetime of the partner account plus 7 years after closure
10.6 Customer Rights (Marketplace)
In addition to the rights in Section 6, marketplace customers and partners may:
- Access: Request a full copy of the personal data we hold (orders, addresses, payment history, KYC, wallet ledger)
- Delete: Request account deletion — we will remove identifiable data except records we are legally required to keep (tax invoices, audit logs)
